Eric Parsons, at the Hanover Hospital on 23 April 2021 in his 81st year. Loving husband of Dorothy Parsons (Rowe), Father to Cheryl Parsons of Walkerton, Laurie (Jamie) Convay of Tiverton and Glen (Kristina) Parsons of Walkerton. Fun loving Papa to his Skippers Eric Jones, Max Jones (Maddy Valad) and Alex Convay and his Princesses Danielle (Tyler) Thomas, Marissa Parsons (Max Barclay), Olivia Convay and Erin Menzies. Eric was born to Garlie and Maxwell in Freshwater Newfoundland on 14 Sept 1940.  His career started with Canada Packers Poultry in St. John’s Newfoundland where he married the love of his life, Dottie, in 1963. Toronto was the next stop, then the family of 5 headed to Alberta and eventually came to settle in Mildmay in 1974. A well known Businessman, Councillor, Mason and Shriner.  But, better known to his family as Dad and Papa.  Knower of all things, wise with his advice, inspiring with his organized ways and fun loving attitude. Eric has always been drawn to water.   The Atlantic Ocean was home growing up in Newfoundland.  They vacationed as Snow Birds in Florida for many years during the winter months and spent summers on Lake Huron. Survived by brother Ralph (Beulah) Parsons, Sister Sylvia (Russell) Pelley and brother Paul of Newfoundland.  Sister-in-law Frances Parsons, British Columbia. Parsons, British Columbia.  A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 25 with a come and go from 3-5 in the back yard at 10 Second St. Walkerton ON.  Eric’s Family will take him home to rest in his beloved Newfoundland.  He will be forever missed.
