Rose Marie Heisz passed peacefully on January 2nd, 2022, at The Walkerton Hospital, near her hometown of Mildmay, Ontario. She passed with her loving daughter Sue at her bedside, while listening to her favorite songs, with the sun shining brightly through her window. It was a beautiful day to say goodbye to Rose Marie as she was such a light in so many people’s lives. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Rose Marie was born on May 28th, 1944, to loving parents Gordon & Kay Lobsinger. She was the second youngest of 5 children, older siblings Karen, Ken, Doug and Dave and younger brother Rick. In her teenage years she met Bob Heisz, the love of her life, and their story began. They got married on October 28th, 1962 and welcomed 3 children into their lives, Greg, Sue and Alison. Rose Marie lived a life full of many adventures with her husband Bob. They moved several times during Bob’s working years, and nothing gave Rose Marie more joy than to meet lifelong friends and reconnecting with family all over the world. Rose Marie is survived by her brothers Ken, Doug and Rick and her three children.  Rose Marie’s love will forever be felt by her grandchildren, Stephanie, Katrina, Spencer, Logan, Jack and Ben, who will miss her tremendously.

Rose Marie will be remembered most for her captivating smile, her incredible generosity, and her home in Mildmay where visitors from near and far were always welcome. No matter where life took her, home and family were the foundation of Rose Marie’s life, so it’s fitting that her journey came full circle here.

It was Rose Marie’s wish to be buried with her husband Bob on what would have been their 60th wedding anniversary. True love until the very end.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to autismontario.com, a cause that was near and dear to her.
