Alvin Ruetz, of Walkerton, formerly of Mildmay, passed away on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at Brucelea Haven. He was 92. Loving father of Stephen (Karen) of Mildmay, Mary Anne (Robert) Burgess of Hanover, Liz (Dan) Weishar of Wroxeter, Rosemary (Mike) McLellan of Coburg, Fran (Tim) Alexander of Collingwood, Kathy (Marco) Albano of Kitchener, Paula (Guy) Mackie of Wingham and Matt (Lori) of Mildmay. Proud grandfather of twenty one grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.

Alvin will also be missed by his sisters Anne Donnelly of Burlington and Mary Nuerenberger of Kitchener, his sisters-in-law Helene Ruetz and Shirley Ruetz, his brother-in-law John Duffy, his many nieces and nephews and the Devlin family.

Alvin was predeceased by his first wife Patricia (1987) and his second wife Veronica (2016), his brothers Albert, Francis and William, his sister Marguerite, his sister-in-law Betty, his brothers-in-law Richard and Ed, his daughter-in-law Beverley and his parents John and Clara Ruetz.

Alvin's family will receive relatives and friends from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm, with Parish Prayers at 2:45 and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 pm on Sunday, July 9th, 2017 at the Cameron Funeral Home (1106 Yonge St. S, Walkerton). Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 10th, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church (221 Victoria Street, Walkerton). Rev. Andrew Quarshie officiating. Reception immediately following in the church hall. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mildmay following the reception.
