Obituaries

Gary Hyett, of Hanover, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, November 25, 2017. He was 67. 

Born in Parry Sound, Ontario on September 6, 1950 to the late Meredith and Permilla (nee Burton) Hyett. Gary was employed for Bell Canada as their Manager and enjoyed working and interacting with various clients and suppliers. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and would frequent Tommy D's Restaurant in Hanover as a regular getting his favourite breakfast. He will also be missed by the staff and patrons of the Hanover Library. 

Survived by devoted wife Josiane (nee Loescher) of Hanover. Loved father of Erica (Scott) Matheson, Katie Barcikowski (Vadim Tsofin) both of Etobicoke and Blain Hyett (Stacey) of Mississauga. Special grandpa of Austin, Makayla, Ethan, Lincoln, Hailey and Ashton. Fondly remembered by his brothers Jim (Marnie) Hyett of Brantford, Lanny (Sally) Hyett of Durham, Joan (Sheldon) MacLean of Mississauga, Sharon Avery of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  Gary's fur-baby Jaida is lost without him and will miss their daily walks and cuddles. Predeceased by his brothers Jerry, Keith and Blain Hyett. 

A private celebration of memories will be held. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
