It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Norma Elizabeth Geberdt (nee Lahn)in her 99th year on June 2, 2025.
Norma was born in Hanover on May 16,1927 to the late Norman and Carrie Lahn (nee Barkholtz).She met her husband Arnold, the love of her life, and married on June 29, 1946.
Cherished mother of Glenn (Cheryl) Geberdt, Marian (Alan) Emerson and Chris (Laura ) Geberdt. Beloved grandmother to Jason (Jeannine) Geberdt, Ryan(Amy) Geberdt, Melissa(Steve) Kaufman, Nick Geberdt, Conrad and Sam Geberdt and 11 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her brothers Bruce(Winnie), Ernie, Howard and Jim Lahn and sisters Geraldyne (Roland) Boileau, Marian (Bob) Henry, brother in law Ralph Clayton, sisters in law Florence Bender (Norman Russwurm) and Runa (Alvin) Russwurm. Survived by sisters in law Violet Clayton (nee Geberdt), Louise Lahn and Shirley Lahn.
Norma was very active within her church and held various positions in the Women’s Institute and ELW. Together with her late husband they operated various businesses in Hanover,Neustadt and Port Elgin.
A private family service was held at Greg Roberts Funeral Home, Mildmay, officiated by Pastor Pamela McNeil and inurnment in St Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Normanby.
