James "Jim" Wesley Price, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, August 4, 2025, in his 84th year.

Jim was born October 25, 1941, to the late Gordon and Ruby (nee Andrews) Price. Jim was always a hard worker, and held various jobs over his lifetime, from running a backhoe, to driving a concrete truck, to welding at Price-Schonstrom where he worked for his brothers. He ended his working years working at Price Bros with his sons. Despite all the various jobs Jim worked at throughout his years, farming was always his real passion.  Jim was born and raised on a farm just outside of Alliston.  He and his brother Fred bought their first farm together at just 15 and 16 years of age near Shelbourne, and Jim eventually owned and operated his farm between Hanover and Neustadt for the rest of his life. Jim and Fred always had a special connection, and they talked to each other no less than 2-3 times a day, about farming, or just to share news and local gossip.  Jim met and worked with a lot of people throughout his life - he will be missed.

Survived by sons Russel (Tammy) of Hanover, Ross (Tammy) of Hanover, Rodney (Amy) of Kincardine, and daughter Rhonda (John) of Hanover. Loved by his grandkids Dakota, Rochelle, Andrew, Aaron, Megan, Abbygale, Ben, Annebelle and Adam, and great grandchild Madeline.  Also survived by his brothers Fred (Ann) Price of Hanover, and Doug (Doris) Price Elmwood, sister-in-law Norma Price of Walkerton, and brothers-in-law David (Sheila) Seeley of Saskatchewan, and Bob (Nancy) Seeley of Alberta.  Predeceased by his wife Mary (Seeley) Price and brother Harry.  Fondly remembered by his special friend Darlene Seeley.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6-8 pm, where a Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 11 am, at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
