Obituaries

Robert William Charles"Chuck" Fletcher, of Hanover, passed away peacefully and was greeted by the Lord in Heaven at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, December 11, 2023.  He was 87. 

Born in Woodstock, Ontario on February 26, 1936 to the late Robert and Hannah (nee Scott) Fletcher. Robert, better known to many as Chuck will always be remembered as a great man. He enjoyed working for Canada Packers as a Trucker for many years and so devoted that he even won an award for not missing a day of work. His work ethic and charm was definitely passed down to his children. He was a faithful member of Hanover Missionary Church and will be remembered fondly by his church family. 

Survived by devoted and loving wife Carol (nee Routledge) Fletcher of Hanover, who just celebrated 66 years of marriage. Loved father of Rodney (Karen) Fletcher of Hanover, daughter in law Penny Fletcher of Neustadt and Hope Fletcher of Hanover. Special gramps to his flock, Tiffany (Joe)Allen , Jonah Fletcher (Brooklyn), Jacob Fletcher (Megan), Kyle Fletcher (Amanda), Kale Fletcher (Nicki) and great grandchildren Landon, Isabella, Tyson, Colton, Clara, Kurt and Cooper. Fondly remembered by his sister Willa Wilson and many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sons Robert, Randy, grandson Titus, brother in law Bob and by his sisters Laura (Bruce) Hanson and Meta (Jack) Lester. 

 Family and friends are invited to the Hanover Missionary Church for a memorial visitation on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 9:30am-10:45am.

A Memorial Service will follow at 11 am with a time of remembrance and memories reception at the church. Cremation has taken place. 

Memorial donations to the Hanover Missionary Church or to Youth Unlimited would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
